Privacy, plainly.

firstshow.ai is a film concierge run by an independent founder. This page says what we collect and why, in plain words. The beta is free; you are not the product — but your feedback is what we're here for, and this page is honest about that.

What we collect

• Ticket info: the name and email you give at signup — used to create your access code, cap usage fairly, and (rarely) reach you about the beta. Never for marketing lists, never sold.
• Conversations: your chats with the concierge are logged — the app tells you this on screen. We read them to improve recommendations and fix failures. They are the beta's whole purpose.
• Preferences and ratings: languages you pick, films you thumbs-up/down — used to personalise your recommendations.
• Usage signals: which recommendations you open "where to watch" for, when limits are hit — used to understand what works.

We do not collect payment details, precise location, contacts, or anything from your device beyond what the page needs to run.

How your data is processed

• Conversations are processed by a leading commercial AI provider to generate replies, under enterprise terms that do not permit training on your data.
• Film metadata, posters and streaming availability come from TMDB (streaming data by JustWatch); your queries to our server are not shared with them beyond standard content fetches.
• The service runs on secure cloud infrastructure; data may be processed and stored on servers outside your country.

The three purposes (the honest part)

When you take a ticket, you agree to exactly three uses of your conversations, and the signup page says so: (1) recommendations for you, (2) improving the product, (3) anonymised, aggregated research on what Indian and Korean cinema viewers look for — for example, "family-night asks doubled in Telugu this month" — which we may publish or share with industry partners such as streaming platforms and distributors. Any other use would need your fresh consent. Three hard rules, always:

• We never sell or share anything that identifies you.
• No raw conversations, names, or emails ever leave our systems.
• No insight is derived from groups small enough to identify anyone.

Your choices

• Email hello@firstshow.ai to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or delete your ticket and conversation history — we'll do it within 30 days.
• You can stop using the beta at any time; unused tickets simply expire with the beta.

Retention & security

Beta data is kept while the beta runs and for a reasonable period after, then aggregated or deleted. Access is limited to the founder. The service is for adults: you must be 18 or older to take a ticket, and we do no behavioural tracking or targeted advertising of anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes and the beta's in-app notice will say so.
